Want info and better pics of the rig in your avatar
"The most awesome part was inside the first 20 feet he drove it from our shop to the exhaust shop. Then back and onto the trailer. From there right into the rock pile. Drove the course backwards pushed the cage off the rocks and kept on goin. Balls deep with out even a courtesy spit .
It's nice to see it's owner isn't afraid to use it."

That would be my 1949 Ford F-3 4x4
The short story is
49 ford on a 79 bronco frame
triangulated 4-ink front & rear with king coil overs,
D-70 rear
Center drop D-70 front (rear with 60 knuckles & C's chromo axles & longfield joints)
home fabbed t-case bolted to a c-6 tranny,
the engine is a 486 ci blown/injected big block ford, making between 1500-1600 hp,
I am currently writing a buildup with more detail & pics, I'll post it in the members rigs in the build up section when I get it all doen in a week or so,
Most of the pics can be seen here,

Thanks for the compliments everyone,
Twister, after following the build of your rig on pirate I'm honored to have caught your attention,
To answer your question, I have done about 98% of everything on this truck, all fabwork was done by myself, (the 2% is stuff like the powder coating, rebuilding the heads & blower, ect)
Trubble, I have a good portion of the buildup written out, I just have to finish up the write up & add the pics, then I'll post it in the members buildups, that way everyone can read through it from beginning to end, then see the vids of it performing,
I hope you guys don't mind, I thought I would have a good right up of the build here then link to it in other forums & emails ect. (my small effort to help get a little more E-traffic through here)

hey we'd be more than honored to host your build up . That thing is sick. hats off to ya . There is a lot of work there. I can't wait for the write up.
Again , all I can say is WOW! I'm speechless. I see you've had it out . How does it handle? Looks like you have stations hydro set up. Killer stuff. I'm happy to see you went with kings.

Thanks for the place to put the buildup, I did a prety good threat on fordtrucks.com, but it was a "post as I build thread" & I feel I missed a lot of details, I figured I would do a good write up, but I did not want it to seem like I was beating the subject to death over there,
I'll give them the link to this site so they can check out the build up if they want,
Twister, I have had it out, in the pics on yahoo it was all test driving, I've actually had it to 3 local mud races and to one up by portland, (9 hr trip)
The truck seems to handle well, the suspension works beter than expected, the only thing I am dissapointed with is when I built the front diff it was going to be at a lower ride hight, well after getting the front clip on, I found there was no way that 44" tires & 14" coilover were going to work with my body work, I cut the fender openings as much as possible without taking away from the look of the truck, but I simply had to make the ride high higher, after i did that I had to roll the pinion agle up so the front d-shaft would not bind at full droop, as a result the caster is no longer at -10* that I had origonally, So the handleing as not bad, but it steers a bit quick, combine that with the soft suspension & it can make a guy pucker at higher speeds,
That is Stations set up, & your right it is nice equipment, not to mention he's a good guy to deal with, That is another thing on the truck I didn't build, I just had to make it fit,
Trouble, This forum is already cool,
It's just a matter of time til it's a kick ass forum,
(Edit) Here's a vid of the second event I took the truck to, not the best vid, but, I'll save the good stuff for the build up thread,

That is seriously one of the coolest rigs I've ever seen. I wonder if we're going to Nevada any time soon so I can stop by & leave a snail trail on the tire...
If you guys are ever in the area and need a place to crash or wrench on your equipment My door is open,
Chevman, I do have a set up for drag racing, It involves dropping the ride height down to within a couple inches of the bump stops, shorter limit straps, stiffer coils, & rolling the caster back to slow the steering down, then I throw on a set if 38" tires, I had it set up this way once for a local street drag, but ignition trouble kept me from trying it out, next year I'll give it a try,
